Home Stager with Stage Right

I was recently called by a Custom Home Builder.  He is wanting me to stage a home as a showcase home for three weeks.  The home is 6500 sq. feet and is very beautiful.  He is not wanting the home fully staged, but it will take very large and exquisite pieces to stage the home correctly.  I do not have that type of furniture in my inventory, much less do I know what to charge.  Any suggestions on where to rent furniture for this type of project or what the rate for staging a home like this would be?

In my area some of the local furniture companies are willing to showcase their furniture for free in the house. As long as they get to advertise their furniture with their cards. Thats what's done at the home show houses also.

Thank you for that information.  If I am able to find a furniture store to showcase their furniture for free, what should I charge for my services?

That I don't know because I'm not a stage company. Just an agent that sees this everyday. sorry

Do you use staging?  What is the charge where you are for staging a home, general price.
