In a headline article on the front page of the Morning News, a Florence, SC daily newspaper, was an article on the latest numbers released by the SC Association of Realtors. The numbers show that our Pee Dee region had a 16% increase in home sales compared to the fourth quarter on 2005! Of the 15 regions in SC reporting, the Pee Dee region had the largest increase. The median price from $108K in 2006 to $113K in 2006 which represents an increase of almost 5%. The article goes on to say that much of the reason for the declining market statewide in SC was from the coastal areas which were down by 20%. Hilton Head was down by 39% and Charleston's sales were down 9% from a year ago.
This article confirms what we already knew. Florence is growing and is a great place to call home that is only 45 minutes from North Myrtle Beach, SC and only one hour from Columbia, SC and 2 hours from Charleston, SC. Since we are on I95, we are convinent to traveling to visit family and friends throughout the country as well. We also have an AMTRAK train station here so you can easily travel from Miami to NYC.
Call me if you are interested in moving here. Also, for the agents out there, I love referrals and if you refer your clients to me, I promise to treat them like family.
