City of Altadena is filled with many surprises

Beautiful Altadena.

Just north of Pasadena is a great city called Altadena.  Until the recent real estate boom, I have a feeling that many people did not know much about Altadena.  We knew it was there, just few minutes from Pasadena.  However, there are many attractive sites that makes Altadena living a joy.

To begin, you have the wonderful San Gabriel Mountains.  On a clear day, it is absolutely breathtaking to see the mountains surrounding the community.  The two golf courses are also a place to be on a nice day.  Both courses are 9 holes, so you can catch up on the game without spending the whole day at the course.  There are hiking trails off Lake Ave. and Windsor Ave. (just by the NASA/JPL).

Some of the additions in the area are the development on Lincoln Blvd.  The introduction included 24 HR. Fitness, Farm Fresh Market, Spot Restaurant, Panda Express, and more.  Lincoln Village is getting a lot of new faces.  There is a new home construction adjacent to Altadena on Fair Oaks Ave.  I think we will see more interesting things happening to this foothill community.  As a resident of Altadena of five years, I truly made a smart decision moving to Altadena CA.

Hi Ellie! Welcome to Active Rain and thank you for reading my post on how to get ahead as a newbie here. Sounds like you live in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains! No mountains here! I was born in California. I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and I worked in Tokyo and Kyoto as a young model.  Katerina

Ellie thank you for commenting on my post. Your area sounds beautiful. My cousin lived in Japan for 10 years so I will ask her exactly where next time I talk to her.

Harley - Thank you for the comment.  The seminar was very imformative and I got a lot of ideas.

Tara - Japan is absolutely beautiful too, just like Altadena.  Japan is one place everyone needs to visit (place to visit before you die...). Oh, and Altadena too. :)
