2/21/2008 - Prince Frederick, MD - Home Towne Real Estate was pleased to welcome over 100 local area Realtors to its recruiting event entitled "An Olde Fashioned Evening with Home Towne Real Estate". Following a cocktail hour, during which dinner and drinks were served, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, special guest speaker Pat Fischer, retired Washington Redskins, spoke to the crowd. The evening was filled with presentations by Home Towne Real Estate management, agents, staff, and partners about Home Towne Real Estate, its role in the local community, mission statement, goals, and offerings to real estate agents.

Home Towne Real Estate is a locally-owned independent real estate brokerage with offices in Owings, Prince Frederick, Solomons, Mechanicsville, Waldorf, and soon-to-be Lexington Park.

Our idea was to have all of our current agents bring a "date" for the evening; it turned out better than imagined when we dreamed it up, really.

Provincetown and Cape Cod

We do something similiar here at Century 21 Shoreland on Cape Cod. We have an annual "Agent sucess party" where we invite any Agent that we have done business with in the past in a transaction to our annual party for food, drinks, and good times. We are believers in setting a positive, fun tone for all involved.

Very good idea; we presented ours as more of a "here we are" -- we're an independent brokerage, and it was a great way to get information out there about us, why (in our opinion!) we're the brokerage many agents should at least consider, etc. We're definitely going to be making our event annual -- great idea about past transactions!
