So I got a call today of course, this morning while I was on my way out to take photos for an interior BPO, and its a buyer who had called about a listing of mine last week. He wants me to show him property. Today of course. I of course accomodate him, why not. I didn't have any other plans and I know the market is REALLY picking up out here. And hey, that's what this biz is all about. I'm not going to say no to someone who is calling me.
I asked him if he was pre-qualified and he said yes. He forgot to mention that he had put in a couple other offers with other agents while I spoke with him on the phone. That's fine. I found this out after driving around with hime for a while. I'm a little leary, but the voice in my head is saying, its okay, this guy is okay. So we pulled up some properties and look at about three different areas. We are tooling around town and I'm asking him why he didn't call his other agent that he used to write the other offers. This is what he said. "I thought about it, but she didn't want to show me any short sales, and she did't want to go outside a particular area." Then he dropped the bomb on me. "I did tell you that I'm an asset manager didn't I?"
What, asset managers actually exist? They are REAL people??? YOU are Kidding me?!!! Wow!!
So see, I have to tell you agents out there...don't diss the short sales. Asset managers are people too! And guess what? They have quotas to make, and sales to close. And they ARE real people. I can't believe it, but they are real.
