Yes, I admit i'm new to blogging.  I thought when you checked the "for real estate professionals", the blog was not viewable by the general public (ie that is could only be seen by Active Rain foks who logged in).  I was surprised to find one of my blogs on google on the first page (one intended for colleagues only).  My intent on several of my blogs has been to get my colleagues' opinions on a particular topic, not for the world to see - - naive, eh?

Looking closer, it looks like I needed to check the box "Active Rain Community."  Will doing this make the blog viewable to "us realtors" only?

No, you need to mark it for "Members Only" rather than "Public".

Lori, anything you don't want the search engines to pick up needs to be members only.

Lori-you have the answer "members only" for anything you just want someone who is logged in to see.  Though I still advertise caution that you don't rant to much as we never know who is lurking within our "walls."

Lori, you can go back and change old posts to members only.  Theoretically the next time google crawls that part of your blog the link might be removed.  The link might be pulled quickly or it could take a little time.

Lori,  I guess Trica,  Missy, and Cindy answered it.  Post to member's only.  Alos, take Cindy's advise.  Limit the ranting.
