Hi Virginia,

Leap Frog Manor is the name of the home which is located in Linville Ridge, a gated golf community in Linville, NC. Linville is also very near Banner Elk and also close to Boone and Blowing Rock.

These Appalachian mountains are the oldest in the country and are not as majestic as your Rockies, in that we're shorter, 3,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level rather than your 12,000 to 14,000, BUT since they are older they are a little less rugged and are very green because of all the vegetation. And we get snow when the rest of the state does not because of our elevation. I skiied this past week, the slopes are minutes from this home.
