Ft. Smith, Arkansas....Come See The History For Yourself!

By
Real Estate Agent with Envision Real Estate Group, LLC.

Ft. Smith is one of the best cities to live in Arkansas.  The most recognized Mayor in the state is Ft. Smith's very own Mayor Ray Baker.  Mayor Baker does an Outstanding job promoting the city, and striving to improve the quality of life in our community, and he's also so know forBelle Grove saying, "Life's Worth Living in Ft. Smith!"  The statement rings true throughout the community.

As you go through Ft. Smith, you will quickly notice that it's more than just a city.  Ft. Smith is a city rich with history.  Taking a trip through our Historic Belle Grove District; there you can take a horse drawn carriage ride a view 22 Blocks of Beautifully Restored Homes.  The tour will simply take your breath away!

Just a few blocks away you'll be able to take a Trolley Ride and see what transportation was like around the turn of the century.  But the history doesn't stop there.  You can stand at the actual spot where the first Military Outpost was built in 1817 overlooking the Arkansas River.

Now, this quick tour of Ft. Smith's History would not be complete without the famous "Hanging Judge", Judge Parker.  Judge Parker brought justice and he brought it with the crack of the rope.  He was known for hanging some 80 men, and you can view a replica of the Hanging Gallows.  Don't worry, we don't enforce that type of justice anymore.  Don't forget, Ft. Smith is also the new location for the U.S. Marshal's Museum!!!

Come on down and see for yourself.  Ft. Smith is a community that is vast enough for you to do whatever you enjoy, and still have those small town values.  When you're ready to relocate to Ft. Smith, just give me a call and I'll be more than happy to help you!

Yes, it is. But trust me, it's work that will pay off! Just see your area in the eyes of someone relocating to the area. What information would be most helpful to them? What businesses and services would they need to know about? Keep up the good work!

Thank you, I will continue, but I think the letters on my keyboard are starting to disappear!  LOL

Wow Ray,

Great job, it just makes me want to go back to Ft. Smith now, more than ever.  And yes, I've seen Judge Parker's famous gallows many years ago.  I hope to make a visit in April.

Lynda,

The area has changed for the better over the last couple of years!  It is great and we are still "The Natural State!"

Jennifer,

The city itself is one of the larger cities in the state.  The photo is of the Belle Grove Historical district where the homes span back some 130 years.  It's very nice.  Come on down someday.  I am sure you'll enjoy your stay.  BTW, if you decide to relocate here; I know of a GREAT REALTOR!!!!  LOL  Thank you.
