I know I am preaching to the choir when I send this out to fellow bloggers but in the current economic climate, it is essential that realtors continue to try something new.
It might be a little scarey at first but look like fun and have promise. I took a vacation recently and went to this water park in Aruba. I had never seen anything like this! It was certainly something new, but I tried it anyway I realized that the bucket at the very top under the sign would dump on me if I happened to be right under it when it filled up. And it did!
Somehow I forgot about the bucket once I got going on the slides.
While I was deciding whether or not to participate in this, I thought that the slides looked like fun.
I though that I would only pass this way once so I went ahead a tried it - after doing a little prelimary research by speaking to two others who had just gone on all the slides and determining that I would live if I went on one of the slides. I also received the very helpful advise to hold my nose closed before I reached the bottom of the siide.
That is the way it is when you first decide to blog. Try it. You can't get hurt. You don't even have to hold your nose at the bottom.
It is good to read a good blogging book for advice or better yet take a lesson from Lola Audu, a veteran blogger who is a realtor in Grand Rapids and very prominent on activerain. Just jump in.
Keep an open mind to see how to improve your business. Keep taking classes such as CRS Marketing which is invaluable. Get a system going so nothing and no one gets lost in your career. 90% of clients say they are satisfied with their realtor but only 11% use them again! Why is that? The realtors just stay connected. Keep in touch with your past clients and sphere of influence. Be open minded. Enjoy - remember you pass this way but once.
I try to get my clients here in Saugatuck, Michigan, to also keep an open mind as we look at property. A sense of humor and a sense of adventure is invaluable in the real estate business.
