Business Tip of the Day!

I woke up this morning to about 2 inches of snow on the ground. In the Dallas Texas area that is pretty rare. As I stood in my kitchen and thought to myself "I could just not go to work today. It would be an easy excuse." At that time my cell phone rang and it was a customer in Florida. We started talking and he said it was a beautiful day in Jacksonville.

I guess my point is don't let outside influences dictate your day. It may be snowing here but in sunny California you may have a customer that really needs your help and is ready to move forward on that deal. I am not saying put yourself in danger but keep in mind that you dictate your day. Even if you have to work from home just move forward.

I did make it to work and have started the day off great! Have a great day everyone.

Hey Darrell, With the weather we have hear it is so easy to get caught up in that feeling. I find myself sometimes getting a late start but try very hard to get it going. Good Advice.

I like a good snow once in a while.  Clients start calling and rescheduling appointments, lunches get cancelled, meeting rescheduled.  Its a great time to catch up on paperwork.  My last snow day I managed to complete my taxes!  Now I know how many houses I have to sell to pay the bill : (.  (Note to self, increase the estimates).

Snow days are also a great time to pick up the phone and call people from your SOI.  The likelyhood that they are home are better.

Then again though, I work from a home office, so my routine rarely changes regardless.
