Economic Development in Maine

An element you will frequently find in my postings is a passion for creative economy.  This is the theory that in an age when creative people can choose where they live because of technology and communication, they will likely choose to be in the very best places to live.  By extension, the places where creativity and entrepreneurism are centered will be where the best economies will arise.  Midcoast Maine is one of these places where people choose to live from a world of possibilities.  Our coastline and geology, the bays and mountains that make this place so special, attract creative people.  We are so glad that interesting and creative people come here to make a home!  Now the group midcoast magnet is looking to position the cultural centers in midcoast Maine such as Rockland to be a creative center.  A big effort in the next few months will attract people from all over the region to the midcoast with a Creative Economy Conference!  More details to follow.
