I doubt I will ever proclaim to be anywhere near computer savvy enough to be called a techy (sp?) but once in awhile I think I come up with something useful but not well known out there in this quickly expanding world of computer technology.
I'm not sure this even falls into that category. Although our office, Century 21 Crest Real Estate was one of the first to have a web site and I have been fortunate enough to have a very computer literate manager (AKA wonderful sister, Marie Episale) who constantly keeps on keeping us on, I am still very much novice at all of this.
I was IM ing (yes, I know how to do that even I don't know how to write it out ) with my 11 year old niece this morning and she wrote this to me..
Hey Aunt Tere, do you know how to do this? ¿ or ° or any of these... ¤ ¶ º ®?
Well of course I wrote "no, please teach me" and she proceeded to explain that the other day when I e-mailed her to tell her about the hike her brother and I took (a wonderful story in itself) two days ago when it was 57 sunny degrees, she said it made her wonder how to make the symbol for the word "degrees". I have to admit, as I was writing to her, the same question came to my mind but I just ignored it and spelled the word out.
Not Chrissy! She said she immediately did a "Google search" and found a site that shows how to do many of them (symbols on Microsoft Word).
Well, I thought I should share this since I am so excited to have it in my bank of tricks! I hope you enjoy using them as much as I do!
Here is the link to the site. Have fun!
