Tickets for Final Baseball Hall of Fame Game, Cooperstown NY

Tickets for the final National Baseball Hall of Fame Game will go on sale Saturday, 3-08-2008.

The Chicago Cubs will play National League rival San Diego at 2 p.m. June 16 at Doubleday Field in the last Hall of Fame Game which started in 1940.

Approximately 2,500 tickets will be available for purchase from 10 a.m.-5p.m. Saturday during the one-day walk-up sale at the Baseball Hall. Those who own valid Hall of Fame memberships have the option of purchasing tickets by phone (888-425-5633) starting at the same time Saturday.

Yes, they said it will be the last one. Major League Baseball said it creates a scheduling conflict. Otsego County Board of Representatives is aking Major League Baseball to reinstate it since it has been here since 1940.

Derrick- Looks like major league baseball doesn't care. The sad part too is that it brought in alot of tourists to the Cooperstown area and unless they think of another game to have, its going to be a huge loss to the businesses in the area.
