Stress?
Hi fellow ActiveRain Members. I decided to share my story for the week to you all.
Since Monday, things were seeming like a stressful rough start. Personally things wouldn't go my way from car troubles to unexpected bills popping up from nowhere. Not only personally but Business related I had a long time client of mine that I was having issues finding the right loan for him and was stressing me out to the extreme. Things just seemed like they were piling up and up...ever had one of those days? Of course the more I thought about these things and dwelled on them, the more stressed out I got.
Today I received a quicknote via email from the QBQ website. If you haven't read or heard about this amazing book before I highly suggest you reading this great positive book about personal accountability. I can discuss this great book in another blog, but for right now back to my story...the quicknote that I subscribe to talked about making the right choices and how it can impact you...well the quicknote reminded me that yes I should hold myself accountable and not worry about the things that I can't control and worry about things I can control...what choices do I have to make things MOVE FORWARD and not BACKWARDS or at a stalemate. Just like in the QBQ book by John Miller, Stress is a choice...we control if we want to be stressed out or not.
Procrastination is a choice, Blaming is a choice, being negative is a choice..the list goes on but bottom line stress is a choice.
So thinking about that very powerful phrase, I played it forward not letting the things that happend to me finding solutions for and being proactive...not dwelling on the problem. I know some of you are thinking well hey finding a solution can be stressful, yes it can be if you dwell on it..if its a long project take a break do something productive and come back fresh....for my personal story instead of focusing on diving through all the matrices and underwriting guidelines to get this loan approved...I just simply didn't focus on my client's weaknesses on the loan and focused on their strengths and got an approval that way....stress is a choice...don't let negativity bring you down...positivity exuberates positivity...hopefully this can spark some positivity around this week, thanks for listening to my story :)
