Can't Stop, Won't Stop! I'm on a roll.

Enthusiasm is contagious!!!!!  And I'm so glad that I caught the bug.  I can't actually remember if I caught it from someone, all I know is I have it.  And I have it bad.  Or good!  And it feels great!

Sadly, 2007 was not my best year.  And on New Years Eve I finally broke down and saw the light.  I've heard it before, I just didn't know what it meant.  But it's true, sometimes you have to have a breakdown to have a break through.  And boy did I ever.  I will spare you the details.

But I woke up on January 1st, 2008 a new woman.  A new Realtor.  A force to be reckoned with.  And although my real estate career has always been based and built on WOW customer service, my head just wasn't in the game.

And thus the change was born.  A rebirth, if you will.  In the last eight weeks I have accomplished more in my business than I have over my entire career.  I'm on fire.  And I'm spreading the enthusiasm like a wild fire.

My clients, past and present, have seen the change and I've already doubled the amount of referrals I'd received in the past.  The change isn't just noticeable, it's unstoppable.  In fact, I'm screaming from the roof tops, "I am Realtor, hear me roar!!!"

And so in closing, I post this blog with one thought in mind.  The power of positive thinking is an unbelievable force that is so consuming and unstoppable that once you decide to open your mind up to it, you better be prepared to do it big.

Tell yourself you can or you can't...  Either way you are right!!!

You're right, "whether you think you can or you can't, you're right!" Good for you on recognizing your need for a change and then going for it. Too many people look for reasons outside of themselves.

I'm with you! I've come up with my own motto for this year and I've been adding it to quite a few of my posts. And it's working! I've had business from unexpected sources. My motto for this year is "Real estate is great in 2008"! And when my attitude starts to drop, I start quoting my motto for the year.

When someone asks me "how bad is the market?"  I always tell them that "my market is great! Sales are up, closings are up and average sales prices are holding and in some cases rising."  I have to tell my clients and customers to please stop listening to the news.  I have to remind them this is North Texas not Southern California.  Yes being positive is the only way to be in Real Estate, otherwise you won't survive.  We all have bad days, months or years.  But its a new year, and the only way it will be a good year is if we make it a good year.  So we may have to work a little harder than a few years ago, but so is business, real estate or otherwise.  We get out of it what we put into it.  If we put a positive face forward then we should get a positive face back.
