Effective March 05, 2008:

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA)  announced yesterday that it has increased its' loan limitations for 14 counties in California.  San Diego County will see loans increases up to $697,500 while Orange County will see FHA loans available up to $729,750!  Sources also report that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will follow suit.

Thanks Mike - I believe Irvine has seen increases up to the maximum limit of $729,750.  With mortgage rates low and conforming loan amounts up to this mark, hopefully it may ignite the real estate market back to where it should be.
