Don't think about real estate, Don't think about real estate.......

By
Real Estate Agent with Real Living Helios

So, I am going on a well deserve vacation tomorrow !!!

I am going to Mexico to paint, relax and enjoy the weather.

I don't know about you, but I always tell myself not to think about any real estate deals while I am away or

anything relating to work, but it's hard!! Even when I am done with all the deals I was working on before I leave, I can't help it! Is this bad ? Any advise?

 Thanks :)

It takes me at least 3 days to shut off my real estate brain then just as I am settling into realize mode.. its time to get packed up and head home.. Start to detach early. .. Tell everyone your gone on your voice mail .. They will wait and it sets your mind into vacation mode

If you can, get someone you REALLY trust to handle things while you are away, it makes things much easier. Then be sure to return the favor. I also like to call everyone I have been working with a week in advance and let them know I will be away. When you know you have taken care of everything before leaving you can relax just a bit more.... then KNOW YOU DESERVE IT!

Have a wonderful time!

What a shame!  You love what you do.  It's great to have a job that doesn't feel like work.  :)

Last year I went to Yellowstone and did it because there was no cell service or internet available for an hour in either direction. Now, I brought them just in case an emergency came up. After two days, my wife told me to leave the park and find internet and cell service or she would go crazy with me! I was having withdrawal symptoms. (Good luck and have fun)

I Sell Alaska!

Only allow yourself to visit an internet cafe every other day, and only for 30 minutes.

I just returned a few weeks ago, and wish I were going again!

It may be too late for this trip, but set up someone excellent to handle things while you are gone. We love to think we are 'the best,' for what we do...  Let someone else take a crack at it.  We need to take breaks to refresh the batteries!

Have a Great Trip! if something comes up - delegate it, and trust them...

Enjoy your vacation.  It will be hard not to think about Real Estate but I bet once you get there it will be less and less each day until you get on that plane to return home and then the wheels will start working again.  RELAX!
