MS Outlook problem. Can you help please?

By
Commercial Real Estate Agent with Doyno Realty

My work webmail is being delivered to my Outlook but my Outlook then sends it right back. So i cannot receive messages into Outlook.

I know it is  this because my sent e-mails get tagged as 'read' and my work webmail cannot do this!

Can anyone help me please? I am stumped because I have checked all of my settings.

I get this message on send receive:-

PAUL@DOYNOREALTY.COM- RECEIVING                   ERRORS

Confused in Bradenton :(

Have you checked with your company IT person? Perhaps there is something wrong on THEIR end. Maybe they changed the IP address. Also, sometimes just going into your settings and re-doing them all helps. Don't know why, but that works for me on occasion.

I'm not much help, but don't be afrais to call someone on your company's end. That's what they get paid for.

Good luck! If my IT person is in my branch office I'll pick her brain. In the meantime, why don't you try posting this in the "Outlook"ActiveRain Group. I've learned a lot from their posts.

Let me know if you figure it out.

Paul, I'm not understanding the problem you are having.  If a message gets to the outlook on your PC the message would stay in either the inbox, junk mail, deleted or some other folder.  There should always be a copy in the program on your PC.  Could you explain the problem a bit more clearly?  I'd love to try and help you.

There are so many settings that it only takes one to make it not work.  My wife can send and rx at home but at work on the same laptop she can only rx not send.  The cable company says it not them but it has to be.

Messages never "get delivered" to a program. The program requests a file from the mail server, and then divides it into messages.

In outlook, you can have the file deleted after retrieval, stay on the server after retrieval, or set the number of days to remain on the server.

Go to email accounts, email settings, more options and look at the advanced tab at the bottom and see what you have it set at!

Hope that helps
