The lovely rise and occasional fall of gas prices

I guess I'll just blog the day away since we are snowed in.....

Is anyone else experiencing the angst of not running to the office as much or driving for those FSBO's in the dark, gloomy rise of the everlovin' gas price?  What's a gal to do, when we live for those FSBO signs, that are hidden just off of the path we normally take?  Do we now just drive straight to our destination in the sheer justification of keeping our mileage down, or do we faithfully, daily, check out the cheapest gas prices at our favorite cheap gas site, in hopes of being able to eek out a few more miles (and dollars) so that we can do those drives for the FSBO hunt?  I know that my buyer clients love me when I tell them that I'll drive so to save them the gas, unless they (or me, for that matter) don't feel comfortable zipping from house to house together.  And as for that, I definitely now am scheduling showings that are very tightly mapped so not to waste any more precious gas than I have to.....

Are we all feeling the same pain????

what are your prices like?  We were at 3.29 late last week... in a Twitter conversation about gas prices on Sautrday  Carole Cohen said they were at 3.05 in Cleveland.  I thought I had just imagined 3.29 in Columbus.  We had to run up to the Metro Detroit area yesterday and the stations we passed were 3.29.  When we got to Detroit gas was less expensive there.

okay, this morning in the Dayton area, even with checking on www.daytongasprices.com, we are still rolling at a high of $3.29 per lovely gallon, and the cheapies running at $3.09 if you can stand waiting in line for 30 minutes.  I tend to surf the cheaper stations in hopes of snagging a shorter line - heck, when you are filling a larger tank, it pays to save that extra change.....

I know many of us in the Dayton area are really using our Kroger cards and our Speedy Rewards cards to save pennies at the pump - but when you really think about it, look at prices all around and how they have gone up.  I think I'll blog about that.......

I might just start bicycling to work once the weather breaks......

Lorna, if you start bicycling, will you have one of those carriers in back of you to haul clients? ha!
