Carroll County, MD Farmers Market, August 24th
On August 24th the Carroll County Farmers Market is celebrating the best of summer. The location is the Ag Center on Agricultural Drive in Westminster, Maryland. Follow the signs to the Ag Center. The hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Customers will be able to purchase the best produce that the summer has to offer: apples, peaches, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, sweet corn, blackberries, pears, lima beans, potatoes, watermelons, and cantaloupes.
50 vendors will participate with all local fresh fruits and vegetables, farm fresh eggs, frozen home raised beef, lamb, and pork, nuts, jams and jellies, honey, baked goods, gourmet foods, handmade crafts and plants.
Breakfast and lunch are served. Items include fresh made pancakes, egg sandwiches and homemade slices of pie and cake.
The Master Gardeners will offer information on “Root Crops.” The weekly craft demonstration is by Susan Atkinson – “Weaving a gourd rim w/ sweet grass”.
Admission and parking are free.
