The right shoe for the job! Yep! I use this excuse for new shoes all the time! ;) Just Kidding. Okay! So I'm not. But I do understand the need for a good forestry boot! I'd want one that was snake proof too! LOL! Is there such a thing?!
Sally, sorry about leaving those things out in the middle of the floor at night.
Joni, great excuse for new shoes/boots, I try to keep it down to two pairs, otherwise it just gets to confusing since they all look the same. Yes, they are snake proof, I did have a rattlesnake lock onto one and not let go until I hit him with a shovel.
Bob- having the right boots for what you did is like a professional having the right tools. A chef's work is made easier with the right tools, for example. Not made for heavy tramping in the woods but I loved the cowboy boots I used to have. They don't look like they should be comfortable but they are.

Thanks for the info, Bob, but I do know a lot about good heavy-duty forestry boots as I have tripped over more than my share over the past couple of decades....they may help your feet, but don't seem to be doing much for the well being on mine.
