Have You Ever Noticed That It's Difficult To Be Grateful And Unhappy At The Same Time?
Go ahead. Try it. Sure, we all have trials and tribulations. Sure, there are those of us who have struggled through - and survived - enough adversity to last a hundred lifetimes. And yet, I often recognize that I need not look very far to be reminded of the gifts for which I am truly blessed. And thankful.
It's True: We All Make The Choice To Be Happy. Or Unhappy.
So, what's your choice?
If you are in a time of trials and tribulations give to someone less blessed it will make you happy.

Carie, i am one of those people that other people love to hate. I am seriously always happy. I don't believe in unhappy.
Carrie people wonder why happy people are so deliciously happy! Why are we happy - because we're happy! It really is a simple as that and folks make it so complicated. Chose every moment to be happy ...or _____ but why not chose happy!
Jean: I've never understood how someone could 'hate' someone for being happy?! I love being around happy people -- and much prefer to gravitate towards them.

Carie, I learned a long time ago that I cannot choose all the circumstances of my life but I can choose how I deal with them.
I choose to be happy. The alternative is no fun at all. I'm traveling right now and the rain is following me. I am looking to find all the great things I would never have found if the sun was shining.
Nancy: I learned the very same lesson, Nancy! Was not an easy lesson to learn at first, however, the ways in which we respond to life's circumstances (plus maintaining a postivite attitude) makes such a difference, yes?

Carie~ Thanks for the reminder...it's my choice! Sometimes I just let bad attitudes and behaviors get the better of me.
It is not politically correect, but join a church, synagogue or mosque. You need something to do to not have a pity party.

Carie - agreed! Too many people don't really thing it's an option.......and it 100% is an option!
Donna: I hear you! Believe me, I allow those things to get to me sometimes too. And, those are the times I must work very hard to let go of that stuff and move on. I've learned that it's a a better choice for me and my psyche. :)

Tom: Agreed! I may be more 'joyful' at times too. But, when I'm feeling optimistic, hopeful, and grateful ... I'm definitely happy :)
Anna: Yes, it is. It reminds me of a saying: 'Pain is inevitable ... suffering is optional.' Or, something like that :)
Gratitude is the secret to a lot of success in life. If we desire more, I think we first need to be grateful for what we have.
Carrie, it is something I can forget, and allow circumstances to dictate, but at the end of the day it truly is my choice on how to react, such as to choose happiness instead. Thanks for the reminder!
Choosing to be a happy and truly being grateful for what you have is definitely a better way to live.
