Katy ISD Provides Student Screening for Disabilities
I have had many folks contact me asking about Katy ISD and its programs for children with disabilities. I have always told folks to go directly to the Katy ISD web site and obtain relevant phone numbers to contact the experts at the school district. It has been my personal impression that Katy ISD has an excellent program for disabled children based on experiences my clients have had. I tell folks who are considering moving into Katy area zoned to the Katy ISD that they have to do their own school research. This screening program Katy ISD offers residents indicates another party of their diverse children disabilities program.
The Katy ISD Special Education Department provides special screening for students who have suspected disabilities. This is done so every student who does have some type of disability is identified and can be assisted with their disability. Children who are identified has having a disability are put into the districts special education program.
All students ages from 3 to 21 who have any of a number of different categories of disabilities can be provided with special services which the District hopes will ensure their future academic success.
Anyone who is aware of a child who may be challenged in some fashion by a disability is asked and encouraged to contact Katy ISD Special education office at 281-396-2625. This office will arrange to have the child evaluated and if found eligible then make sure the student is provided with the appropriate services and educational support. No one can guarantee academic success but the Katy ISD is attempting to provide children with disabilities the opportunity to achieve success in their school career. The next time I get this type of information request I will refer the contacting person to this blog.
