Malibu Sales & Leases Update | 8/18 – 8/26/13

Malibu Condos/Townhomes Sales

Only two Malibu condos sold this past week. One unit in Malibu Canyon Village (23901 Civic Center Way #379), that was listed at $499,000 just closed for $478,000.  The 3B/2.5B unit at the Pointe(6477 Zuma View Pl. # 125) was listed at $889,000 and closed at $865,000.

Malibu Leases

Seven properties leased out. A 2B/2B unit at 18147 Coastline Dr. leased for $3,550. Three of the properties leased out at their asking price. The Malibu Canyon Village 2B/2B unit leased at its full asking price of $2,850. A 2B/2B in Villa Malibu leased out at its full asking price of $3,750. One 2B/2B unit in Malibu’s Outrigger leased out for $10,000. Three single family residences leased out; 6122 Tapia Drive off of Trancas Canyon leased out for a substantial discount at $4,000 (asking price was $5,495). 1700 Cadenhorn leased out at its asking price of $6,700, while 29839 Cuthbert Rd., in Malibu Park, leased at a mere $1000 below its asking price of $15,000.

Malibu Land Sale

One piece of land in Malibu sold up Corral Canyon. The lot size was approximately 10.000 sq. ft. and the sales price was $355,000, $7,000 higher than it’s asking price.

Malibu Single Family Sales

Point Dume saw two substantial sales; 28980 Cliffside Drive, with 6B/5B, sold for $9,608,250 and 6738 Wildlife Rd., a 4B/2B, closed for $300,000 less than it’s asking price at $3,450,000. Malibu Park’s 6320 Frondosa Dr. closed at $1,850,000. It has 5B/5B and is apx. 3,565 sq. ft.

Corral Canyon’s 2926 Valmere Dr. closed at $850,000. This was listed and closed in a little over 4 months. 24730 W. Saddle Peak Rd. sold over asking price and closed at $975,000. Malibu homes listed for under $1 million are going fast!

Two Malibu single family homes sold in the $2 million range. 5927 Busch Dr. sold at $2,200,000 and 31387 Pacific Coast Highway closed out the week at $2,540,000.

27940 Winding Way took the $3 million dollar spot, with a closing at $3,450,000.  Taking the cake was 28034 Sea Lane Dr., which closed at a mere $14,450,000. It was on the market for just over four months.
