How much thought do you put into items that you buy?  Do you look at where things are made, how they're made, or the story behind them?  Or, do you care?

Trades of Hope is an organization that was started by two, mother-daughter teams to give women in poverty or hopeless situations, the opportunity to build a better life.  Trades of Hope (TOH) partners with artisans from around the world to create beautiful pieces of home decor, jewelry, textiles and other items that are made by women around the world.

The women who started Trades of Hope have a heart for ministry and business.  Their mission is to give women the opportunity to rise out of poverty through sustainable business and you can help them by purchasing beautiful products for yourself, your home or as gifts.  Every product is under $50 and there are some really neat items.

This is a cross made from used oil drums in Croix de Bouquet, Haiti. Tin art was developed in Haiti decades ago when Haitians were trying to mark graves with the resources on hand. Now Artisans labor in the sun to create something beautiful from something discarded as trash.
