Special and Unique Holidays: September 2013
The month of September is right around the corner and Donna Foerster is getting us ready by letting us know what holidays to look forward to. Some are Federal, some National and some are just plan fun holidays. I practice Be Late for Something Day most every day of the year.
Donna would appreciate your comments on her post.
Special and Unique Holidays: September 2013
There is something special and unique to celebrate every day, 365 days a year! Some holidays are more traditional~Valentine's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving~some are a bit unconventional. There is NEVER a bad reason to celebrate!
September is probably best known for the following "holidays":
September 2nd ~ Labor Day (Most cities and towns have a large event planned during the holiday weekend. In Parker, CO residents and visitors are invited to Smokin' Brew BBQ, a competition BBQ event hosted by the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club.)
September 8th ~ Grandparent's Day
September 11th ~ Remembrance (Our Rotary Club will be delivering breakfast to our local first responders~Fire and Police departments.)
I'm a FOODIE, so you'll notice that some of the September "holidays I decided to highlight are food related. I just can't help myself!
September 5th ~ Be Late for Something Day
September 12th ~ Chocolate Milk Shake Day (Make mine a malted milk shake, please!)
September 18th ~ National Cheeseburger Day
September 22nd ~ Elephant Appreciation Day (You might want to plan a day to visit the zoo.)
(Every day in September is something special. To view the entire month visit the Holiday Insights website.)
