Active Rain Contests
I am proud to say that one of my agents and good friend Judi Parker, who joined our company not too long ago, is in the #5 position in points for Charlotte, NC here on Active Rain, with currently almost 425,000 points! Way to go Judi!! And what an accomplishment!
Needless to say, I honestly had not paid points here on Active Rain a lot of attention until Judi inspired me. Having been on Active Rain for a couple of years, I used it mostly for research than anything else. About a year and a half ago I thought I would try my hand at a post or two (thanks to Debe Maxwell) and I'll admit, I had NO CLUE what I was doing.
Thanks to "Active Bob", I watched his webinars and recordings and wrote a few posts here and there with the "long tail keywords". Those FEW posts to date have netted me approximately $30,000.00 dollars in commissions so far! Thank you very much Bob!
Thus, I decided to get more experience under my belt writing posts and what a better way to do it than the contests Judi encouraged me to do. I started with last months July Cloudburst contest of which I successfully completed! YAAA! AND, this post is the 25th post for the August Cloudburst Contest! Everything else is complete. SHEW!!
I have to say, these contests have been a challenge but they are fun, and watching the points add up is fun too! Along the way I have gained experience AND, I am making friends left and right here. That in itself has been the most rewarding to me!
Active Rain is #1 in my book and Thank You Judi for inspiring me!
