Staging is more than providing furniture for a vacant property. When staging is done well, it sells a lifestyle that today's buyers are looking for. Professional stagers know how to maximize the space to create warm and inviting spaces that say "Welcome Home!" to all who enter.

Here are two Edmonds condos, both in the same building, both for sale in a large resort style condo community with sweeping views of Puget Sound. As a potential buyer, which condo would you decide to view in person?

Great after "staging" photos. Great look, simple and just enough to highlight different areas and utilize the lighting. I really like the small bench by the far window. big enough for 1 person possibly 2, and it does not take up too much room. Also, the use of a small dining table was a plus too, unfortunately people use a large table for those areas that just get in the way.

You are so right Diana. Knowing what your most likely buyers life style will be really is extremely important when setting up a home. Here in Indy there are many, many different and distinct areas throughout the city that all cater to unique life styles. Your so right--you even filled in the little nooks that were odd spaces and showed how it can all work. The before picture is so cold, and the odd spaces jump out even more as a "what do you do with me?" Laying it out for the potential buyer makes it not even an after thought, only a "I can live here. I love this place." How can anyone not believe in staging after seeing those pictures? Great shots, perfect for you to use in presentations!!

Jason - Exterior lighting is very important for curb appeal. So many potential buyers drive by homes for sale at night. We always use low wattage light bulbs for interior lamps so they can be left on 24/7 to create a welcoming feel both day and night.

Lea-Ann - We own all of our own inventory. Currently we have enough "stuff" to stage about 15 homes.

Juliet - Sorry, no photo of the mantel close up. Layering is one of the secrets to creating an appealing interior.
