The Decision is In, The Best App is Dropbox. After much thought about what I use over and over and day to day, my vote goes to Dropbox. This is a free app that will download on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. I have it on all these devices. There slogan is Your Stuff, wherever you are.
The reason it is the most vital to me is because it makes sharing documents super easy. When a document, file, video or photo is uploaded to my Dropbox account, I can access my account and the documents wherever I have internet access and a device. And I usually always have my phone or iPad with me. This is super important when writing blog posts, needing to work on files at home, selecting photos to post online and retrieving my links to websites and videos that are cataloged on spreadsheets.
Let's say I am at a friend's house and want to show her some of the photos I took of the park. I happen to not have my phone or iPad with me. No problem because I can use someone else's computer or tablet and get into my account.
As for clients, family and friends, I can open the Public file in my Dropbox account and share whatever is in my account I want to share with them. It could be a video, a document, an entire folder, one photo are a group of photos.They don't even need a Dropbox account to open up the link I share but they can sign up for an account if they wish, it is free. If I invite someone to join and they accept, I get increased storage for free. So far I have plenty of space and haven't had to step up and buy more storage. When that happens it will be no big deal because it's cheap.
It allows collaboration with my local Realtor Board. I serve on several committees so I need to see committee agendas and information. Because I am Board Treasurer, I need to see all the financial reports and documents pertaining to our monthly Board meetings. This information is shared through Dropbox and removed by the Board's Executive Officer when it's no longer pertinent or needed.
So the Decision is in, The Best App is Dropbox. It beats my Evernote app and account for ease of use and simplicity. It is a good app for anyone wanting to make their business life easier to manage.
