When does a person plan for their first house?
Believe it or not from their childhood for some people.
I had the pleasure of speaking to one of client's teenage son in some down time we had.
Nigel was patient as he waited for his parents to come to a decision of which home they wished to purchase.
This was Nigel's wish list for his first purchase:-
He wanted a large garage for arts and crafts. Like his father he was banished to the garage on many a day and so the days were spent with father and son creating something out of nothing.
Then he wanted a pool, after all we live in South Florida, it is hot all year round.
Next on the wish list of this teenager was a hot tub - so that he could relax. FCATs can be stressful.
He wanted a huge backyard, and a front yard that had lots of tree. All this was for playing out doors and exploring the unknown of outside.
Nigel did not want to be on a main road because a more residential street would give him more room to play outside.
He wanted soundproof windows to drown out the noise of thunder. He was obviously scared of thunder storms and the hurricanes we sometimes have here in Florida.
Finially, Nigel wanted a tv theater room, so that he could play games in luxury.
Nigel may be a teenager, but at his tender age he has an idea of what he wants when he buys his house.
