Why Do People Live here?
RiverPark is a master community of single family homes, condos and apartments that is conveniently located off the 101 Freeway in Oxnard. The housing recession hit this master community hard, building stalled and the commercial business area remained a dream, but now all is back on track and is coming alive.
RiverPark is located on approximately 680 acres when fully built will have some 2800 homes. Several of the builders of homes in RiverPark were Shea, Standard Pacific and Centex.
The first homes were sold in 2006.

What's the Neighborhood Like?
The RiverPark Neighborhood is very different from any other neighborhood in Oxnard, here, you will find the homes centered around parks and within this neighborhood is The Collection, more on this below.
Within RiverPark, one will find a new Police Station and Fire Station, along with a new Elementary School (Rio Del Mar) and a new Middle School (Rio Vista).
What's Going on Nearby the River Park Neighborhood?
In the RiverPark Neighborhood is The Collection, complete with restaurants, stores and office space. Below is just an example of the artwork displayed in The Collection.
The Collection is much more than a shopping center-it's an experience. Built around a village-like grid of retail streets that host a wide variety of emerging and established designer shops, fine dining establishments, and signature entertainment venues.
Tree-lined streets, lush but water-wise landscaping, playful fountains, pocket parks, outdoor seating areas, plazas and paseos all work together to create a classic but casual environment.
I am very impressed with The Collection, it is a first for our area and my hope is that other developers follow suit. It is a very inviting environment.
