The Whole Truth About My New Profile Photo. I have been noticing over the last few weeks that many of our Members have changed out their photos with a newer fresher more up to date profile photo. Some Members looks changed drastically with new hairstyles, new backgrounds and even a different smile or expression. My photo needed updating.
On Tuesday and Thursdays my tech assistant works for me and we use these days to take home photos, do videos and update web pages. When I arrived at the office I decided that today might be a good day to get a more current photo of me. The sun was shining so we decided to go the side deck of the office and take a few shots. There was a backdrop of trees and this was the best place that we thought would work. The lighting was good. I didn't particularly dress for a photo shoot but that hasn't stopped me before for my previous videos and photos.
So click, click, click went the camera as it was set on AUTO. I always shoot in manual setting but my assistant uses auto and she was the photographer so it was her call. I moved into two different locations on the deck and smiled and moved my head like I have seen the fashion models do. Most of the shots were bad, with half open eyes, a funny look on my face or a crooked smile. A spider web kept chasing me.
We ended up with a half dozen fairly good ones to choose from and finally narrowed it down to one. Now the truth comes out. A little editing was in order.
You see I had a little blemish that had to go. So the photo was uploaded into iPiccy and just like that the imperfection was gone. I needed a little help with a smile line so that was lightened. My undereyes looked a little darker than my cheeks so a little blush was added. And iPiccy has a tooth whitening tool so why not get a boost. No airbrushing was used even though it is an option. I wanted it to look like me so thought that was over the top.
After it was done, I decided it would suffice for my new profile photo on my various sites. All of this was a spontaneous decision and didn't take more than an hour total to do. I just did it. The best part was I didn't have to schedule a photographer or worry about where to shoot it. If it didn't turn out nobody would be the wiser. Last minute, spontaneous decisions can work out too. And I can do it over again if I feel like it.
Now you know the whole truth about my new profile photo and that I needed a little help from iPiccy.
