A Sign of the Times at Lake Anna…Real Estate Attracts New Agents

Real Estate Agent with Dockside Realty VA 0225142975

A sign of the times...Real Estate attracts new agents.

We are seeing a number of new agents entering real estate along with some that are reactivating their licenses. This is a sure sign that the market is getting better.

What does it take to make it, and I mean make it whether the market is hot or cold?

For those that enter the business when the market is hot find out how tough it can be when there's a down turn. It pays to really like what you're doing as this is not a profession for those that cannot handle disappointment, uncertainty, rejection, failure (every deal does not make it to a happy ending), long days and short nights, and a number of other less than exciting realities.

Others stick with real estate no matter the market conditions. It is their chosen profession and they make it work for them no matter what the economy is doing. Of course it is more difficult and earnings may diminish but those that are in real estate through thick or thin learn to adjust. There is a certain level of satisfaction when you have survived another downturn in the market. A few years of hard times does not knock you out of the park and you are the stronger for having made it once again.

A seasoned agent usually has a lot going for them. If you did not have a great deal of resilience when you started chances are that you will before too long or you will not be in real estate very long.

When the market fluctuates as it has done quite a bit during the last several years you see the number of agents rise and fall with the market.

Real estate is not for the faint of heart but for those that really enjoy it, it often warms the heart. Enjoying the time you get to spend with clients can be a chore or a pleaure.  I cannot imagine that I would be still doing this after 28 years if it was not pleasurable. Meeting and getting to know folks I would never have met otherwise is a treat and if we are successful in finding the right spot for them it becomes even more special.

If you are looking for an agent to help you (and I'm talking to anyone, anywhere) be sure to select one that will make the process a good one for you.
