The Passing of Our Beloved Common Sense -- WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!
Common sense has certainly left the building.
And I have to take issue with the lack of common sense when discussing the woman who had hot coffee spill on her lap. . . which caused 3rd degree burns to her inner, upper thighs and her genitalia. For those of you who believe the MEDIA HYPE, I am amazed that your common sense has been so easily taken from you.
Oh sure, you remember THE MEDIA HYPE!
And that's really when COMMON SENSE DIED! When people believed it. I'm loving it!
WAKE UP and SMELL THE COFFEE!

These are the FACTS:
She was a 79-year old woman when the incident took place.
She was a passenger in the vehicle which had no cup holders -- the year / make and model didn't have them. She, like everyone else, put the coffee cup between her legs. She was not driving the vehicle. But when the coffee spilled on her she was not burned . . . she was SCALDED.
The McDonalds served her, a customer, with SCALDING COFFEE! Not "hot"coffee -- SCALDING coffee. Boiling hot coffee that caused SEVERE 3rd degree burns on her skin just from having contact with her skin.
Think about placing your hand under boiling water -- yeah.
Now think about having the same scalding boiling water spill on your inner thighs and genitalia.
The inside of her thighs and her genitalia were SCALDED with 3rd degree burns. The jury saw the injuries -- they saw the photos of her injuries -- YOU DID NOT! If you watch the documentary "Hot Coffee" you will see what the jury saw. I saw her injuries because I shut up and stopped espousing what I "thought" to be the truth. SHAME ON ME for blaming that poor woman for her burns! SHAME ON YOU!
She had to undergo over 5 skin graft surgeries -- at her age! WOW -- nothing like having her golden years robbed by pain and suffering served up nice and hot for her at the golden archers!
There were OVER 700 complaints for that particular McDonalds on SCALDING coffee burns. They did not turn down the temperature of the SCALDING coffee they served their customers -- even though they knew and admitted their coffee caused burns.
The woman was 79-years old.
The jury heard all the evidence, and the jury decided to take two days of profits from the coffee sales to award this SENIOR CITIZEN that was SERVED BOILING SCALDING COFFEE to such temperatures that is boiled her skin off . . . basically.
WOW -- WAY back when . . . $2.9Million in just TWO DAYS of coffee PROFITS from their sales!!
And you people think she got that!?!

Welcome to the world of "Justice" in America.
There were CAPS on the award.
CAPS are unconstitutional in my humble opinion.
An unconstutional CAP limits the rights of juries to award damages.
The woman had a JURY AWARD -- a basic civial right under the United States of America CONSTIUTION. It's called the 7th Amendment.
What was unconstitutional was the DECREASE of that jury award by a judge AFTER the jury verdict and jury award of damages.
After the unconsitutional CAP, and the judge decreased the jury's award, the woman was only awarded $400,000 and that was before her attorney's fee.
Because of UNCONSTITUTIONAL GAG ORDERS -- she was unable to defend against the smear campaign in the media -- which apparently the psycho-babble still continues to this day.
So for all you TALKING HEADS that repeat the lie . . . WAKE UP and SMELL THE COFFEE!!
Anyone who talks about the lady who sued over the hot coffee and what a money grubbing so and so . . . they STINK and have run out of both deodarant AND common sense.

I don't like how this documentary was edited. There are a few "stories" of injustice in this documentary. It's not all about the woman who sued Mickey D's.
WATCH IT -- it should be your Patriotic Duty!!
Had I not had a medical injustice done unto me . . . I would never have believed the INJUSTICE to people that are harmed in America.

Today, at Family Abstract, Inc. we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend,
Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Why the early bird gets the worm; Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Life isn't always fair; And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple,sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death
-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
-by his wife, Discretion,
-by his daughter, Responsibility,
-and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;
- I Know My Rights
- I Want It Now
- Someone Else Is To Blame
- I'm A Victim
- Pay me for Doing Nothing
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
