Every year the NKF ( National Kidney Foundation) labor day surfing festival is held at the Cocoa Beach Pier. A friend of mine saw Kelly Slater while he was visiting Friends and family. CJ used to caddiy for him when he visited in between tournaments. He's a 7 time world champion raised right here in Cocoa Beach. There wasn't a lot of surfing going on when we were there but the day was warm and perfect. Is there anything better than a day at the beach soaking up the sun with a beautiful woman by your side? The Pier had a bikini contest but we didn't stick around for it. Fahitas and a cold beer sounded better :-)
As my Grandson Thomas used to say when he was little, "Look Grampa, "Makini Girls"! He'll grow up just fine!
