I’m sure you’ve seen the articles on Face Book or somewhere across the web showing you the top ten most expensive homes in the Denver Metro area. While these homes are amazing to look at and come with staggering prices most don’t pay attention to what neighborhoods these homes are located in. I wanted to take a moment and tell you about some of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the Denver Metro Area.

Let’s talk about where you’ll find the most homes for the top dollar: Cherry Hills Village. Here you’ll find some of the most amazing homes ever built in all of Colorado. Just about every home sits on a quarter acre of land or more and every house is a custom build with square footage going as high as 20,000 square feet. Some areas of Cherry Hills are strictly gated like Glenmoor Country Club. Cherry Hills Country Club is said to be the birth place of the Arnold Palmer beverage and houses some of the most impressive estates you’ve ever seen overlooking the scenic golf course. The medium price is 1.4 million and range all the way up to 9.2 million in price.

Maybe golf isn’t your thing or maybe being near the tech center doesn’t float your boat. While the next area isn’t as exclusive as Cherry Hills Village the homes are all large and gorgeous. Welcome to the Polo Reserve. These homes are all within a gated community in Littleton off of Mineral Avenue. This is the location of the famous Denver Polo Classic which is held every year. The homes rest on a quarter acre and go up to two and half acres. All the homes are custom builds with estate looks, size, and feel. Square footage starts around 5,000 and goes all the way up to 12,000. The medium price is 1.5 million and goes up to 4 million.

The next exclusive location is the Denver Polo Club located between Exposition, Alameda, and University right next to Belcaro. These homes range in size and style but the majority have the estate feel and look; Spanish and Italian villa look, English estate, and east coast plantation. The lots range from half an acre to just over an acre in size. Because of the price of these homes as well as the location the Belcaro Police Department patrols this neighborhood regularly. The square footage ranges from around 4,000 to 18,000 square feet. The average price is 2.3 million and goes all the way to 5.9 million.

The most exclusive neighborhood near downtown Denver is hands down the Country Club just north of the Denver Country Club. This neighborhood was developed in 1909 by William and Arthur Fisher. These are historic Denver homes with very large lots for Denver ranging from a quarter of an acre to just over half an acre. Each house has its own personality but they definitely have the historic and traditional feel; brick and stone, wrought iron gates, paved driveways, and multistory homes. Square footage ranges from 3,000 to 17,000 square feet estates. The average price is 2 million but can go as high as 5.4 million.
