In my opinion, Country Walk
is hands down the best neighborhood in Powder Springs. I can say that, because I live here! Built in the early 90’s, the neighborhood has beautiful, mature landscaping and trees. Neighbors take care of their homes and properties, and the homeowners association is top notch. The neighbors that take the time to serve on the board are thoughtful and fair, and work hard to maintain property values for everyone. With over 400 homes in the neighborhood, that’s no small feat!
Amenities
Country Walk cares about its amenities. The neighborhood has a very active tennis community. Alta teams play in the area often, and enjoy the newly resurfaced courts. The pool is the biggest draw in the neighborhood when school is out. Unlike other neighborhoods, when the pool is open, there is a lifeguard on duty. There is a large pavilion area with grills available for picnicking and parties. There are also basketball courts and a playground available for the kiddos to play. And Country Walk is the only neighborhood I’m aware of that has a country store and gas station inside the community.
Community and Celebrations
The amenities are nice, but it’s the people that make the neighborhood. The people that live here, love it here. Every day, you can meet your neighbors walking their dogs or walking for exercise, or hanging out at the pool in the summer. The Fourth of July is extra special! Every year the neighbors are invited to decorate their bikes, strollers and pets and participate with our veterans and service members in a neighborhood parade. The parade is followed by a celebration and prizes at the pool. It’s a great day for hanging out with friends new and old! There is also a parade for Halloween, an Easter Egg Hunt, two community Garage Sales a year, and so much more.
