Portland Oregon home sales dropped slightly in August compared to July. Most agents I talk with have experienced a slight calming of the market over the past 6 weeks. Interest rates have risen, forcing some buyers into a lower price range. But inventory has also risen slightly allowing for buyers to not feel as much pressure when making an offer. For six months, Portland Oregon real estate has been a tight seller’s market but this type of shift really helps to balance the market for both ends of a transaction. Buyers should still expect to submit reasonable offers but sellers may just be a bit more flexible.
