Last Month, the Phoenix Area had 424 luxury homes that sold for $500,000 and more.
Selling at an average of $848,216, these luxury homes sold for 97% of the average original asking price.
Luxury homeowners on the average walked away with more money this past month than last year, where the average was 95% of the original asking price.
It also took fewer days (28 days) on the average to sell a Phoenix Luxury Home in this August than it did in 2012.

4 of these that sold were Scottsdale Luxury Homes and the most expensive was a Paradise Valley Luxury Home.


1. Paradise Valley: Palo Verde Foothills Subdivision, 4,900,000

This modern and contemporary 2 story home in Paradise Valley was sold by Alan and Dawn Hatch to 6216 N 38th PL LLC on August 16, 2013. This 4 bedroom home with 11,097 sq. ft. of living space sits on 1.37 acres in the Palo Verde Foothills Subdivision. The Subdivision located South of Lincoln Dr and west of 40th St, has only 28 homes. The home sold after 172 days on the market and was originally listed for $5,150,000.


2. Scottsdale : Silverleaf at DC Ranch, $3,958,629

A mediterranean 2 story property designed by CSE and Associates, located in DC Ranch was sold  to WIlliam and Susan Repko on August 6, 2013. This newly built property sits on half an acre of land with 5 bedrooms and 5 and half bathrooms. The home was originally listed for sale for $3,800,000 and was sold for more than the originally asking price. Silver leaf is in DC Ranch, a master planned community located on the North East  of the Loop 101.


3. Scottsdale: DC Ranch Country Club, $3,650,000

5 bedroom, 2 story home designed by Bob Bacon was sold by Thomas and Gail Archer to Mike Smith on August 29, 2013. The 5 bedroom home sits on almost an acre of land in DC Ranch Country Club also in the DC Ranch master planned community. Originally listed for $3,895,000 the home was sold after 1,130 days on the market.


4. Scottsdale: Glenn Moor, $3,300,000

10,000 sq. ft. single story home was sold by Doug Koch to Richard and Nicole Groff on August 19, 2013. Sitting on a little over an acre and a half, the home is located on Glenn Moor, a subdivision with 93 homes. Only 1 home in Glenn Moor is a 2 story home, the rest are single story homes. This property sold after 839 days on the market and $400,000 below the original asking price of $3,500,000.


5. Scottsdale: 6500 Camelback, $2,875,000

A Mediterranean Single story home in Arcadia was sold by Clara Gerzon to William and Anne Kierker on August 8, 2013. This 5,619 sq. ft. home sits on the just a little over an acre in 6500 Camelback, one of Arcadia's gated community. There are only 13 homes in 6500 Camelback, all single story. The property sold after 42 days and for less than original price.
