Denton's Dime Store

Like many local businesses, the DIME Store started from a group of crafty individuals with a big dream. They all started with the Denton Community Market 4 years ago, selling to the Denton community. They even started their own craft fair called Etsy Denton Sale. With the success of their craft fair, the ladies decided to join together and create the Denton DIME Store (Denton Independent Maker Exchange). All of the crafters that sell in the store have individual Etsy shops. They each work with Rachel Aughtry and Shelly Christner to find places in the shop for their work. Everything from hand dyed yarn to Furniture is for sale in the store. Since the store opened its doors in April 2013, the business it has received has already made them very popular among Dentonites. The DIME Store’s involvement in the community is also what makes this store stand out from others in the community. Located off the square on S. Locust Street, stop in to see what you could find from the creative minds of the Denton’s DIME Store Crafters.
