Uploading a Video to YouTube, its really quite simple once you get started.
Sometimes this whole Video Blogging thing seems a bit overwhelming with all of the uploading, downloading, embedding, linking etc.
But once you get started it is not do tough after all, unless something goes wrong, but we will cover those instances later, or over the phone.
I covered how to embed a video from youtube into an Active Rain blog post in a previous posting and I neglected to talk about how to get the video from your device (computer, tablet, phone, camera, etc.) to YouTube, tonight we will cover the basics of this important step.
There are many ways to get your video into YouTube, but the first step with all of them is to establish a YouTube account, so if you don't have one yet, then go to YouTube and sign up, its free and easy.
Next is the uploading method, most devices and video editing software have a built-in function that asks you if you would like to load this up into YouTube, many choose to use this route, and it generally works amazingly well.
But if it doesn't work or if you would prefer to just do everything from your computer, then YouTube has made it amazingly simple to load videos into their system, and I will be covering this method tonight.
First, sign in to your account and then look for the "upload" button on the top of the screen.
Second, either browse your way to the video that you want to use or open up your file manager and grab it and drop it into the YouTube screen, like I am doing in this picture.
Now it is pretty much loaded, you just need to name it and add a description.
You tube may also ask you if you would like to take the shakes out of it, often times it is a good idea to do this, but don't worry, because YouTube will do it for you, all you have to do is wait a long time for it to do its magic.
Now the video is public for the whole world to see and admire. And for you to grab that link and embed it in your Active Rain Blog Post.
