Final Chance, take 30 minutes today and join, The Summer Video Challenge, Show Us Your Local & Bring in the Juice
Dont forget that the Summer Video Challenge deadline is Nearly Here.
Many people have already completed the challenge and are already enjoying the extra attention from the folks over at Google and Youtube.
Take a few minutes Today to join in the fun and in the Google Juice!
I have been extremely busy this month and put off the start of my video blogging until yesterday.
I stopped by a park along the way, spent 15 minutes shooting the video, spent another 15 editing the video and writing a short blog post, and its already working hard to let Google know that I exist.
If you are having a tough time with the technical aspects of loading and posting video then take a look at a few of these tutorials...
Here are a few more entries that you may enjoy, stop by and take a look at these and many more.
And post a few of your own!
Keep on mind, if you are like many who suffer from "perfection paralysis", that any video is better than a blank blog waiting for the perfect video.
Even if you have not started yet, dont despair, it only takes a few minutes to shoot some video and then a few more to post it into a blog.
We all know how great local events are for attracting clients and bringing in the Google Juice and we have been told how much Google likes Video, so this Challenge is going to combine the two for a great dose of SEO for all of our businesses.
Our focus in this challenge is to shoot three short videos of something local and something showing some Summer Fun.
The subject of the videos can be anything local, fun and outdoors.
• A favorite hiking trail
• A summer celebration
• A great local park
• A cool neighborhood
• An Active Rain Meetup in Stevens Point
• Something local that sells your town is always a winner
• And lots more summer fun sights and events
Each video should be short, between 1-2 minutes.
Each Video will be accompanied with its own blog post.
Since video is a tough obstacle for so many bloggers, and it is soo good for the Google Juice, Kerrie agrees that we should bribe our entrants well, with 800 points per video blog for a total of 2400 if you produce all three videos in separate blog posts.
After you complete all three videos and blogs, post the urls in the comments at http://activerain.com/blogsview/3802335/summer-video-challenge-show-us-your-local-bring-in-the-juice by 11:59 pm September 7th, 2013 and then sit back and watch the points add up on Active Rain and your Ranking on Google rise with each video.
If you are having any problems embedding videos into your blog posts, try this method or drop me a line and I can try to help.
