Eco-Friendly, Commuter Living in Orange, CA - Brand New Homes!
Not too long ago, I went on a caravan. This is not unusual in the real estate industry as you need to preview homes regularly. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise!
We weren't getting in a van, but on the Metrolink train! We got on board in Buena Park, CA at the Founders Walk, a nice little community close to the train. We then traveled to Fullerton, CA to visit SOCO. This is a new development in Downtown Fullerton, just a short walk to a lively downtown with fabulous restaurants and entertainment. Our final stop was Depot Walk in Downtown Orange...and this was by far my favorite!
Depot Walk was just a stone's throw from the train station as well as wonderful Old Town Orange. These California Brownstones fit right into to a neat and tidy old neighborhood. They were built to look as they have been in the neighborhood forever, complete with their brick exteriors and fire escapes!
The eco-friendly homes are the only LEED Certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) multi-family community in Orange County!
Just a few features include:
- Location- no vacant land used
- Proximity to transportation
- Environmentally friendly paint
- Tank less water heater
- Eco-friendly bamboo flooring
- Permeable concrete - allows water to flow back to the earth
- Solar cells and systems
- Lower utility bills
What a great community! To learn more about this or any of the other commuter communities mentioned, please contact me and I will be happy to hop on the train and show them to you!
