Located on the northern end of the town limits of Breckenridge, is the community of the Highlands at Breckenridge. These homes and vacant parcels of land sit on the east side of County Road 9 and surround the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. Breckenridge Golf Course is an open to the public 27-hole golf course.
Accessed from Tiger Road, the Highlands at Breck are further subdivided into various filings including Braddock Hill, Golf Course. Highlands Park, Discovery Hill, Discovery Ridge, Gold Run, and Fox Crossing. The Highlands at Breck are all ran under the same HOA with very generous requirements of only 1,500 square feet as the starting home size for new construction. All the lots are established as single family homes. Many of the homes in this premier community are quite large and luxurious. Being situated higher on the mountain and surrounding the golf course, there are amazing views of Ten Mile Range as well as the 41 parcels of land that have been dedicated towards open space allowing them to maintain the true mountain feel of Breckenridge.
Being located within the city limits of Breckenridge means that you have access to all the city amenities for public utilities, there is only a 1% transfer tax, and you have discounted access to both the ice rink and Breckenridge's Recreation Center. During the winter months, the Highlands at Breckhost the Gold Run Nordic Center providing access to cross-country ski trails and snowshoeing from your back door.
The Highlands at Breck Discovery Ridge is located on the eastern end of this community. It is situated between the Elk 9-hole course and the Beaver 9-hole course. The office of Ten Peaks Sotheby's International Realty is located within the Golf Course subfiling at the very west end of the community. The homes in the Golf Course subdivision wrap around holes 3, 4 and 5 of the Beaver 9-hole course.
