Hi Bob - We have a similar program here that is administered by the forestry department at Colorado State University, and have several clients who have enrolled their mountain acreage in it. It seems to work well.

I have a couple of parcels that I have in public acts that reduce taxes on the forestland. There are parcels that I don't have any intention of selling, so I don't have to worry about any recapture of the taxes.
