Kathy Schowe's Amazingly Fun Business Model
I was fortunate to be featured by Patricia Kennedy today on ActiveRain! She is right... it is incredible to be able to take your passion for a sport and carry it forward into a real estate career! I look forward to reading more of Pat's posts about other ActiveRain members!
There are a whole lot of ways to make money in real estate, and reading a lot of blogs here on Active Rain, we can learn about a lot of them. And I decided to write a series of posts about some of my favorites, beginning with Kathy Schowe.
Kathy and I do have something in common. Both of us hold real estate licenses. But I have to say that her business model is so different than my own, and her's inspires more than a twinge of jealousy!
Kathy really loves golf. OK, did I say really? And it sounds like she plays a good game. So she has found a way to combine golf and real estate with her selection of a niche market - golf course communities.
First of all, she lives in La Quinta, California, home to some of the country's finest golf courses. And if you check out her Active Rain profile page, there is as much information about golf as there is about real estate. So someone moving to this golf Mecca would immediately figure out that Kathy is the local expert on the golf communities in the area.
So, this is what I admire about the way Kathy has structured her real estate practice.
- She incorporates her passion for golf into a passion for real estate.
- Kathy has a huge amount of expertise when it comes to her market niche.
- She knows how to sell both the sizzle and the steak.
- It sounds like she really has fun with her real estate career.
