Tests I Don't Study For

I've had the doctor mandated lab work over the past year: not my favorite thing to do, and  I changed docs because I felt labs every two months was a bit much.

I go to get my labs done this morning, first thing, since they have to be fasting, and I don't do well with that restriction.

A surprise this morning was an additional request, one I've not had before.

Now, I'm sure there are people who prepare for the lab work and eat really well the night before, and drink lots of water, and go to bed early.

I'm not that person.

Clearly, from the photo below, there are some individuals who OVER prepare for their labs, and may try to be creative about getting the desired results.

Suffice to say, I don't study for these kinds of tests.

Eeeeewwwwwww! Don't drink the water?  I would think they would put the tape over the seat, not the tank!

Carol,

May it comfort you to know, you're not alone. I started out my day at 7 a.m. at the doctor's office, followed by an appointment with another doctor, followed by a lab test too. It was a big, long, day for me too.

Best wishes on your good health.

As you get older, you will be having more and more of those lab tests.

Have a great day and an outstanding weekend.

Yeah...I don't prep for those tests by eating anything out of the ordinary.  What purpose would that serve?

Chris Ann - Well, I didn't think mac & cheese out of the box would be bad...it was actually VERY GOOD!

Roy - thanks....I had a feeling this might be a continuing saga..

Patricia - the same to you!

Evelyn - it's not tape: it's actually a HUGE zip tie, so that you can't open the toilet tank...I guess some have tried stashing things there for others??? I don't know!

Carol, hope your lab tests are good.    I would hate to have constant testing.
