Everthing is Coming Up Roses

Thank you for your comments. Attitude is everything. Influence is powerful. Staying in control and not allowing someone to push you over the edge takes discipline. Taking the high road when the walls feel like they are closing in on you as a result of bad attitude takes enormous courage.

I'm glad to hear that the photos of the roses from my garden and my words had a powerful/positive impact on you. Working hard can be intense. I also have to pull back when it gets too thorny and focus on things that matter. You're lucky your spouse understands and that the two of you can find ways to rest together. When we have compassion and understanding we bouce back from that downward pull that can spiral out of control, if we allow it. Hang in there, you're a lucky man. Debbie is your oasis.

I'm only human. I have to work on my attitude too. It's easy to get sucked into drama or to cause drama and not even know it. I turn to nature when the going gets tough. I appreciate people, especially people like you here on ActiveRain who provide support.

Life is too short - making time count is the magic that gives one energy. I don't wish a bad attitude on anyone. I no longer hope people or things will change, I change. Changing for the better is self-preservation. I want to live longer and happier. I hope you do too.

Sharon - Things will turn around Believe in yourself. Be like the birds who sing after the storm. If you can't sing, use sign language, if you don't know sign language, be the sign or be the song that promotes peace. Look for the rainbow. If you can't find the rainbow, find the colors in nature or in life that brightens your day.

We all possess the power to have the Pillars of Strength and we've read about people in prison or in war torn countries that discovered Fortitude and Faith. We know it exists and we have to learn to put things into perspective. Things are never as bad as they seem. We choose to make them worse than they really are. When we take control of our attitude, we begin to see things differently.
