This morning I read a post written by Wayne Martin and titled “You Know Some Lucky People” and I thought I’d share my thoughts on this one. I love to use the word “lucky” when I’m at the casino, especially when I’m winning.
Last night was one of those moments at the crap table!! Played $25 chips “all the hard way” and made a score a few times with a hard 8 and a hard 4. Remember, I’m the queen of bad habits, but I have a good time with it!!!
Transgressing here…. The use of the word “lucky” is ideal when at the casino; or connecting with that sexually attractive person; or buying a lottery ticket that pays off!!! You have the idea, right??
When it comes to business “lucky” does not apply. “Lucky” does not and should not be used when referencing anything to do with business. A “lucky” real estate agent is one who has paid his/her dues. It’s a real estate agent who has devoted time, money and energy into advancing his/her skill level to result in a desirable income with respect and admiration from co-workers.
“Lucky” is not a description of a top producer. “Lucky” is a name given to a dog with three legs, matted fur, blind and deaf. “Lucky” is borderline disrespectful and a sign of jealousy of a productive real estate agent. If you feel “lucky” put that feeling to good use and buy a lottery ticket; or visit a casino; or just hook up with that “right person” but keep business and the word “lucky” separate.
