This is not a trick question.
“When you hire an outside cleaning service to wash all the windows in a house inside and out, do you expect them to replace the screens when they are finished”?
Rugg Realty has been busy, busy, busy, the entire year helping buyers find their new homes and marketing existing home here is Sun City Texas. Inevitably, we are asked to recommend service providers such as handymen, cleaners, painters, etc who can help get the the house in marketable condition or move in condition.
I recently hired a company to do some work for Rugg Realty and I was paying the bill. We agreed on a price, we agreed on the scope of work, and we agree on when it would be done. I genuinely thought I had covered my bases. Not so fast!
Apparently, putting the screens back after washing the windows is not part of what I should have expected. It wasn’t discussed, the cleaner refused to do it without an additional fee, and she decided to charge me a late charge when her invoice wasn’t paid within the time limit she decided. This was despite that fact that I had telephoned her, texted her, and e-mail her with no response.
So, what say you?
